Annadanam

As per the divine order (sankalpa) of Shripada, many noble men and siddha purushas with their visible and invisible co-operation , the programmes of Shripada Swamy have been initiated.

Sri Gopal Baba Maharaj has taken the responsibility personally, for the welfare of the Universe like Annadana and others, commencing from 14th November 2006(since 9 years) with out any break. Since then inspite of so many obstacles created by bad elements. These Programmes are being conducted with the divine power, assisted by only ordinary people. As Shri Gopal Baba Maharaj has to supervise these programmes personally under his leadership an Ashram was established on his own resolve, and offering some more extra activities like free education to down trodden, distribution of clothes etc, in order to spread out the programmes for the welfare of the Universe. His permanent stay here is very beneficial for us.

The first step to earn his grace is to have equal mindedness on all beings and offer food to those who are hungry and in need.

In Threthayuga sage Bharadwaja conducted a holy sacrifice “Savithru Kathaka Chayanam” with that the supreme power of Datta in all the endless worlds was brought to the province of Surya. To bring that unlimited power to the earth in this Kaliyuga, under the leader ship of Sri Bapanarya a holy Yagna (sacrifice) was conducted. That power coming from Surya mandala, while every body was witnessing entered into the Srisaila Mallikarjuna lings, Gokarna Kshetra Mahabaleswara linga and Pithikapura Swayambhoo Datha Vigraham. But in Pithikapuram only those who have the keen sight could witness this event.

To pacify such most powerful energy it is essential to offer food to all the people in the vicinity. In Srisailam and Gokarna it was done on a large and grand scale to all the people. Through Sri Bapanarya suggested to offer food to all to pacify the most powerful energy entered into the deity of their place, the elders with arguments and counter arguments did not allow it to happen. As it is beyond our capacity to pacify such high energy and as Shripada Shrivallabha indicated that in the 33rd generation of Sri Bapanarya , Vatsavaayi, Pynda Venkatappayya, which falls during this period , God himself in the form of Shri Gopal Baba started this holy ritual of Annadana. To participate in this programme is very good opportunity and is due to so much of merit earned in past lives.
